These bar stools are nice and heavy. They are lighter than I expected. Based on the photos I expected them to be a little darker and grayer than they are. But they still go well with the rest of the furniture. I ordered two because I thought they would be bulky and I could only put two stools under the counter and it wouldn't look/feel crowded. As soon as I put it on the bar, I knew I could put another stool next to the bar. So I ordered a third stool, which will be delivered within 48 hours of ordering. If you're looking for something big and bulky, these stools probably aren't for you. They're easy to assemble, but you definitely need two people to attach them. seat back and footrest. The first stool came together perfectly, no problems. The second stool was a bit more difficult. When trying to install the seat back, I found an issue with the depth of the holes that the screw goes in and the screw length for the 4 side screws. The screw doesn't go deep enough into the hole to hook until I remove the two washers. After the washers were removed I was able to tighten the bolts, not perfect but I got it working. The backrest is shorter than my previous bar stools and sits about an inch higher than my bar, which is exactly what I wanted. I'm happy with my purchase so far and hope that doesn't change once these bar stools are used.
