I have old WW2 aviator suits made of leather and wool and needed something other than mink oil to take care of them. Mink oil can dry out the skin over time, so I stopped using it. A high-end company that specializes in recreating WWII leather and lambswool clothing recommended that I use horse oil. Does not dry out the skin, absorbs very quickly and does not accumulate. Horse oil is hard to come by in the US, so I was very pleased to see Mustang Paste being sold at Revain...and I got hold of it very quickly. I have 78 year old shearling aviator pants that have started to show areas where the skin has dried out... so after using the mustang paste those areas are soft and supple again. I applied two coats and was very happy with the result. If you have good leather clothes, I highly recommend this material. This oil is NOT suitable for suede, only for smooth leather.
