Review on 🚿 American Standard 1660717.295 Water-Saving Shower with Transitional 3-Function, in Brushed Nickel Finish by Sarah Brown

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not perfect in Bathtub Faucets and Showerheads

I bought this as my water bills have been quite high lately. The first thing to note is that it is very large. The diameter of the front panel is 5.5 inches. My last shower head was probably half that size. Operation: has three positions, the first of which seems to save the most water. This position is also set by default; Each time you turn off the water, the spring rotates the selector back to the maximum water-saving position. The knobs on the dial make it easy to turn to select different settings, which is nice. I've had shower heads in the past that I had to struggle with to get them to switch between positions. The highest position for storage gives good water flow, but I do notice that the water cools down a bit as it flows out of the shower head at this setting (not surprising as it mixes with air to give decent water pressure). The medium setting combines jet and jet settings, resulting in low pressure as there are many more holes open at the shower head. My favorite setting is the jet setting, which gives a feeling of warmth at high pressure. Unfortunately, this setting doesn't save as much water. The last thing to note is that this shower head will drip when it's in water saving mode. This is frustrating as I know my blood pressure is not as good as it could be as some of the water is dripping out of my head instead of splashing and hitting me. I'm not sure if I can get it. again. It's a little bulky and I found I wasn't using the most economical setting as that setting drips and I have to set a higher temperature meaning I'm saving water at the expense of electricity.
