Not suitable in the sense that all sides of the sheet are under the mattress. Only the corners lay under the mattress with their sides halfway up the edge of the mattress. I had to take it off and never use it again because my 8 month old almost took the sheet off as he tossed and turned in his sleep several times. Imagine if a baby could successfully lift this out of the corners and wrap themselves in it while they sleep! In addition, it is not real fleece and the material shrinks immediately. My son woke up with balls of fabric in his hands from pulling on the sheet.
