Bought this bath toy for my 2.5 year old son who needed something different to play with and showed an interest in balls and basketball hoops. He doesn't really play with it consistently, but it's a great design for what it is. It can be easily and securely attached to our bathtub spout with Velcro fasteners (2) and prevents water from leaking out. The balls are really small but they don't leak so I think it's a fair compromise. We leave it on all the time and in about 4 months it hasn't shown any damage or heavy deposits. My son pulled the hoop's mesh several times and it held tight to the spout without damaging the mesh. I would recommend if you are looking for a toy for that specific motor function and are interested in throwing balls etc.
