I LOVE this toy!1. The rings fit in ANY order which is great as the other styles have to fit in a specific order which is difficult for babies and toddlers. 2. The center post (all the same size) is "corrugated" to prevent it from being pushed too far into the mouth.3. The base is flat and not arched like other styles that wobble and fall. I love that it is stable and stays where my baby can fold without falling or throwing the rings away.4. Different shapes, textures, etc. The black and blue rings are similar but different sizes. Green - soft silicone with an air hole, like bath toys. The white and pink rings have a similar texture but a different shape - the pink is the heart. There is a rattle in the top of the orange handle which is a lot of fun. The orange rattle also has a "lock" option that allows you to mount it on top and twist to "lock" it in place. It's great for storing in a toy box so the pieces don't fly around when not being played with, and also during transport when you take it to grandma's house, on vacation, etc. (besides, the orange handle is big enough ). cannot fit in a baby/baby's mouth; an orange piece is 2.5 - 2.75 inches wide and about 1.5 inches high. I highly recommend this product! You will not be disappointed! I tried it in the dishwasher. Longevity seems great - judging by the materials and quality it should last a LONG time. It's also a good size - probably the same size as other types of this type of toy.)
