I've had a broken ball lamp for a year and was too lazy to fix it. Eventually, armed with some knowledge of YouTube, I decided to replace it myself. It was very easy to install and inexpensive. Took me less than 10 minutes. Yes, I really should have fixed that a long time ago. I tried to make this as safe as possible by using Wago lever nuts to tie the neutral and switching hot wires together and then electrically insulating the lever nuts for added security. Now it works great and looks good, IMHO. No more broken lights!
