It's true, this kind of thing takes time to get used to. My first Imperial took about 500 miles and 65 miles, a 100 degree day, to break in. month and then use it sparingly. Take care of him and he will take care of you. I have at least 20,000km on mine. You should invest in a waterproof saddle cover and a two-bolt seatpost. You'll need to make a lot of small adjustments over time, and a two-bolt seatpost will make your life a lot easier. For the record, I ride a Surly LHT and my seatpost is about 25mm out. These saddles are notorious for their short rails, so you will need to use a seatpost with the correct offset to compensate for the lack of fore/aft adjustment. The only thing I would change is that I want to see the Imperial C suspension model. Hence the 4 star rating. They make them in the standard Imperial but not the Ladies S model. I ride in skirts every day and like a shorter nose and wider back, but as a compromise I can't get a suspension saddle.
