Review on 🌿 Cocokind Chlorophyll Mask - 2 oz/56.8 g - Certified Organic by Ruth Reyes

Acne prone skin, beware of chlorella (algae)

I have been using this mask for a while and have recently developed breakouts in areas that are normally clean. I did a little research and it turned out that seaweed is comedogenic. "Algae extracts are comedogenic because they penetrate the pores and accelerate the growth of microcomedones. Seaweed is also high in iodides, which can irritate pores and cause inflammation and pustules. reviewed (i.e. tested on his own skin) several products that contained only one suspicious ingredient – seaweed extract, each time, regardless of the type of seaweed in the tested product (plankton, kelp, chlorella, etc.), comedones formed on my skin for several months , and I poured out. And we see the same thing over and over again with customers using any of the many seaweed-based body products. In other words, in our experience...algae = breakouts!” If you're breaking through or clogging more than usual, it could be because of this mask.
