Excellent VGA to HDMI Adapter

Since most flat screen TVs currently available no longer have VGA inputs for computers, you will need to use the HDMI input to pass this signal to your TV and if your computer does not have an HDMI output you will need an adapter for it Type. Unless you want to buy a new computer. This is the best of the two VGA to HDMI adapters I bought in December. Now that it has been in use for the past three months I can report that it is working flawlessly and reliably. I tried a model with a built in VGA cable, but the signal dropped intermittently and inexplicably. Assuming that the problem was not in the computer or TV, I ordered this model. This adapter measures about 2 1/2" x 2 1/4" so it's pretty small. So while you need to buy a VGA to VGA cable such as B. the shielded Tripp Lite 1ft cable offered here at Revain, once set up this adapter performed perfectly. There were a few horizontally staggered pixels initially, but my TV has a fine width adjustment for each HDMI input and it's been perfect since the initial setup. DC power for this device can be provided through a USB port on your computer; Mini USB input. You must also feed audio to the adapter using a 3.5mm stereo audio cable. The sound is clear; there is no hum or switching noise that can be caused by an under-shielded adapter. I stream video almost daily from an HP laptop acting as an HTPC on a TV, and this adapter has been delivering a solid HDMI video signal since I installed it in mid-December. .
