Incredibly cute and hopefully my couch photo provides some useful scaling. More than I expected, I can use it and I'm an adult. An average sized woman can definitely use this, the limiting factor as you increase in size is hip/body width as you need to fit between the small sections against the large main back. Now you can't put it in the middle. living room and expect to use it, it will fall. But lean against the sofa or headboard and you're done. Plenty of padding, surprisingly soft, very pretty to look at and comfortable to lean on! I will note that you can feel the ribs from the extra padding that is on top of the body to form the legs, but I don't think this detracts from its function at all. I like to lie down and pet my dinosaur, my elbows resting naturally on the head and tail for armrests. It should also be easy to snuggle into. I ordered a second one to have a special one for reading both in bed and on the couch. The attraction factor is worth the $30 to me.
