This item will surely help to replace my original Microsoft charger for my surface laptop. One note - the converter part of the charger (square part) is larger and heavier than the original. Already a poor design (the charger can easily slip out of a laptop's socket because it's not securely fastened), the added weight of this cable could make it even more prone to that. Why didn't Microsoft even realize it was a crappy port? Why can't computer companies make a UNIVERSAL charger like standard 4, 6, or 12 foot extension cords? All that technical skill and SO little common sense! It's frustrating!
