I would like to start my review by saying this is probably the best duvet I have ever owned because of its design. There are several things to look for in a duvet: quality material, the right size, effective fastening, corner ties and machine washability. 1) quality material. The material itself is soft and luxurious. This is great for cold temperatures, apart from the weight of the blanket you put in it due to the amount of warmth it provides. The only problem is that this isn't a good choice if you're looking for a "more cooling" blanket. 2) Appropriate size. This duvet is perfect for my weighted duvet. 3) Efficient closing. My previous comforters had a button closure which looks better in design but doesn't effectively hold the comforter inside. However, this blanket has a hidden zipper on one side. I never had to worry about my blanket falling out. 4) corner connectors. It is extremely important that a weighted blanket has corner ties to attach it to on the inside. The ceiling is very easy to move and deform. There are 8 connections in total. 4 in the corner and 4 in the middle on the top, bottom and sides. 5) Machine washable. What else sucks about having an absolutely perfect comforter and hand washing it? That's OK. However, this blanket is machine washable. It's easy to clean.
