My husband and I weigh well under half the weight limit for these chairs, but they were the most uncomfortable chairs we have ever sat in. We bought it to use on the DDPY Strengths chair and we couldn't sit in it for more than ten minutes. After that our backs hurt even more and we immediately decided they had to come back. I'd rather pay three times more for a folding chair if it means it wouldn't hurt me to use it. Yes, we need to lose weight - that's why we're retraining, but when we saw the weight limit and how good it is for "tall and tall" people, we thought that wasn't enough. When you sit in a chair, the base is tilted and your back is pulled toward your back. The back of the chair was narrow, squeezing us uncomfortably and effectively restraining us. Of course if you are of average height they can fit you but I still doubt they will be comfortable. Why set such a high weight limit for a chair that fat people can't sit on without pain? The reclined seat makes the pain worse because the tailbone is moving in the right direction, plus it's hard. We haven't decided what to order instead. We currently use office chairs that tend to slide out from under us as we move, so we definitely need a solution. I'll try to remember to update if we find it.
