It takes a little trial and error to figure out how to hold in a way that works for you. I got one for myself and one for my husband and he holds his differently than I do - I find it works best for me if I stick my pinky through one top hole, my index finger through the other and my thumb through the bottom. It also helps tremendously with lather if you first squirt your product onto it and then spread it around a little by hand first. One pump of body wash will suds enough for half my body - I’m 6’ so that’s a decent amount to cover. It’s not at all "scrubby” so if you’re looking for exfoliation then simply add some salt or sugar scrub. Rinse thoroughly and hang to dry. I’ve had mine about 6 months and not a single speck of mildew. Overall very pleased.
