Review on BND Hartmann USA FBA_BND 46110000 Flex Band by Jeff Kersey

Very good spot treatment

Some time ago I bought a box of spot cleaning patches. They were almost impossible to use as described in my review of this product. I've since bought a box of these flex bands. Doesn't matter. It's much easier to use. The paper backing peels off easily, and the bandage itself is a little firmer, making it much less likely to tear or wrinkle. They also hold up better in the pool or shower. I had a pair of each type when I went to the pool with my grandkids the other day. Half an hour later, two sticking plasters were floating on the surface of the water. Two flex bands are still in use today, a few days later and a shower later. Flex bands come in the finest packaging. The box is easier to handle and each bandage is packed separately. The patch has two bandages attached together so I have to take them out and separate them which sometimes results in one tearing and then being replaced by another. Hartmann can get 100 flex tapes in a box about the size of a band-aid box of 50 and more than half empty. Flex bands are also slightly cheaper. Get 100 for $8.29, or 8.29 cents per volume. The patches cost 50 for $5.65, which is 11.3 cents per bandage. It's 36% more expensive. Their only downside compared to patches is the color. This is a dark tan. On my thick Scandinavian skin they are very noticeable, while the patches, although not invisible, are much less noticeable. It's not a problem for me as I don't take part in beauty pageants. This is likely because the adhesive surfaces are much thinner, which may be necessary for better legibility. Flex-Bands are completely opaque. On the other hand, flex bands lie perfectly flat, which not only makes them more comfortable, especially under clothing, but also makes them a little less noticeable. I'm having trouble applying the patch without the slightest wrinkle or tear, which affects the fusion to the skin. Overall they are way better than any other small bandages I have used and far superior to Band-Aids.ymmv
