because they blend well, but in winter when my skin gets dry I prefer to use liquid products rather than powder. Highlighter is the only product I've never liked in liquid form - it was always too thick or didn't blend well BUT this one is amazing. I've applied it with my finger and also straight from the tube and in both cases it's transparent but still has a lot of shine. These are also very small particles so the shine is as natural as possible. Great product for the price good price!
