Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fast enough for standard use at 4K 60Hz

It was fun to see mini/micro PCs, from Sticks to NUCs, and I've bought many. Unfortunately, most of them are either too expensive to be practical at a high level, or too slow to tolerate even basic, low-level Linux usage. This is the best performance to price ratio I've seen. When I booted into Windows and selected an offline account as usual to avoid all the hassles associated with an online account, I saw that my monitor was recognized and set to video mode. up to 4K 60Hz. Based on my previous mini PC experience, I expected to need to drop it down to 1080p for a smooth experience, but I didn't need to do that for basic web browsing, video, or word processing. I can run a decent number of tabs but when I have some HD video windows like Youtube it starts to stutter. It also has some slowdown in full screen, but it's ok when the video is playing. With a little effort, it can become a great multimedia PC, especially with a Linux distribution. It would also be a very powerful hobbyist PC. I like to use them to set up desks in places that don't have the internet or other distractions. Since you're not looking for a high-end desktop PC, this is a great alternative to other mini PCs in this price range. He is capable of wearing multiple hats and does not require much energy to do so.

Pros
  • Great home theater PC
Cons
  • Long wait
