Review on Motor Trend MT-921-BG FlexTough Tortoise - Heavy Duty Rubber Floor Mats for Car SUV Van & Truck - All Weather Protection - Deep Dish (Beige Tan) by Trevor Blazis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

They look expensive BUT they are actually very thin and soft/flexible; not heavy

They look great until you pull them apart and feel how soft, flexible and THIN they are. Calling them super powerful is just false advertising. On my 04 Silverado Ext Cab, the driver's side fits without trimming, but some trimming is required for a better fit. The passenger side was too wide to be used without a cut. It took a few cuts to get a better fit. The rear ones didn't fit because of the 'good' shape and had to be trimmed to lay flat. Calling them super powerful is a stretch. The floor mats I am replacing were purchased from Costco in 1998 and I installed them on this truck. They were the same shape but twice as thick, heavier and stiffer so they didn't curl or sag. They also stayed where they were. The passenger mat still looks good, but the driver's side has finally worn away from the heel of the accelerator pedal. I doubt these Motor Trend floor mats will last much longer than 2 years. Walmart had a much heavier mat than those $27 MTs (about 1-1.5 inches narrower on the front mats) and I would have been a lot happier with them. I really should have returned them and bought some decent real rubber mats locally. Buyer Warning. If you only use them for light trips to the office or grocery store, these MT mats can last.
