Review on 6-Outlet Desk Power Strip with Mount Clamp and 6.5 ft Long Extension Cord for Home Office and Reading by Jeremy Reddick

I was hoping for a reasonably cheap but durable extension cable. God I regret my decision. From the outside it looked pretty solid. Thick chord and all-metal body. I plugged it in and it immediately blew up my outlet. I opened it up to see what happened and immediately saw where it happened. The wiring is VERY bad. The contact pins are so badly soldered that a short circuit has occurred. I'm lucky I didn't hook up my electronics to that shit. PLEASE AVOID! Don't skimp on extension cords or consumables. If possible, always open it up to check for shorts or loose wires. I also found a piece of solder just rattling there.
