I don't usually write reviews, although I keep promising myself I will so that others can find out more information. I appreciate the honest feedback I see, so I want other people to get valuable information as well. So here is my first review. My daughter loves this chair. She is 7. Just under 60 pounds and 4 feet tall. For a while we were face forward and in boosters. We made this transition earlier than most people due to their weight and desire to see the outside world. But we always make sure that we use safe products. Whether it's $100 or $500, I have to admit I wasn't thrilled with the price of this car seat. But I was impressed with the flexibility of this seat and the lack of armrests to ease sagging. The flexibility of the adjusters means the torso and head are independently supported which is what we need to support the back and head when the base is tilted (which is why we needed a new brace as I changed my recliner) . seats). I have to agree with two other reviewers who said that 1) the bottom straps don't fit every car and 2) they don't fasten at the top. There is no top cable. However, this is easily fixed by purchasing an independent cable. I wrapped one around the center section between the headrest and backrest and crossed them so that the right side is tied at the top left and the left side is tied at the top right. This is because, for us, the seat only snaps on the middle seat. I also bought one of these knee adjusters because I'm not sure if the seat belt stays buckled at the hips and not the stomach. The system has worked well for us so far. Again, it won't work for every machine. And there is no top cable. But with a few adjustments, it works for us. But since it's the middle seat, we lost the drawer that she puts the drinks in and we had to buy something for that purpose. We are still happy with the purchase and are considering buying another one for my dad's car.
