The locking mechanism releases itself when I try to hold the bike brake lever in the locked position. That's why I bought them. MUCH less strength 175# - maybe 15#. Note that this can be a SMALL LOOP with an angle and all, but should never be. It's also too hard plastic. About half or so. Other than that, it's great. Except . The 15 inch length is short for some and long for others. Purpose of use. Do you really need a choice or a choice. And... the price is twice as nice - $2 each. You know what - it's three stars!
