I use this dock with Macbook Air M1 and LG Ultrawide monitor. I first bought a docking station that was twice the price and ended up having to return it due to overheating issues. This docking station is compact (not very portable, but doesn't take up much space on your desk), has a number of ports, and doesn't overheat even after prolonged use. I like that the dock has two USB 3.0 ports and a headphone jack on the front, and a display port and two HDMI ports on the back for connecting to a monitor. I don't know if you can use this to connect to multiple displays and I don't think M1 Macs support it, but I've had no problem using the dock to connect to an ultrawide monitor.
