We have recently switched to all reusable and interchangeable materials. Utensils were one of them (we hate metal utensils in this house, disposable compostable utensils were getting too expensive), we tried processed bamboo, worked great until the forks started to melt when used for hot food, which brought us to the wooden fork here, is beautiful, is clumsy and too angular, the handle is very straight and therefore unwieldy, the tines don't pick up anything without a fight, I think they should be salad forks, but you can't take salad with you either. Very nice, very strong and light but useless fork.
