Review on Sony Alpha Camera ILCE-7RM4 Body, black by Anastazja Lipiec ᠌

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

It is rather difficult to leave a correct review, since it was a transition not only to a new model, but also to a digital one, a digital one from Sony in principle. Before that I used Canon 1DX Mark II on L optics. Therefore, everything is new, everything is unusual. Yes, the picture is different, but I can’t say that it is so critical that it would cause grief and frustration. It's just everything else. However, the convenience and technology of the novelty pleasantly surprises with functions and capabilities, which opens up new horizons for creativity.

Pros
  • Weight and dimensions! As one of the main, essential and expected advantages, I will note the high resolution of the images, the detail is really impressive; Gorgeous black; From the raw shadows stretch remarkably; General level of photo quality; Even in the absence of a high-speed memory card, the buffer allows you not to stop shooting; Focusing is a separate and very significant topic. Combined with automatic tracking of focus on the eyes of people and animals, this is a real breakthrough and ease of use of the proposed modes; Fortunately, I did not have a chance to test it, but good dust and moisture protection is claimed; A fairly convenient and clear viewfinder, although I can’t compare, I didn’t use digital analogues; Convenient and fast data transfer; The ability to control via Wi-Fi, there is no need for cables and other remote controls.
Cons
  • It seemed unusually noisy at ISO above 1600, which is most likely a price to pay for high resolution. Unusual heating of equipment during prolonged use; According to feedback from users who have long been familiar with the brand, they say that the battery holds well. Probably not bad, but without a second in reserve, I definitely won’t dare to go out. It is clear that no one will intentionally shake the carcass, but in the off state, if the device is shaken, the sound of stabilizers (maybe it’s not them, but it feels) of the mirror is heard. When switched on, the noise disappears. SC said it was normal. I don't know, maybe okay, but not very nice. First of all, I will make a reservation right away, it is very subjective, this is just my opinion. Optics. After Canon's Lek, picking up top-end glasses from Sony, I just want to say - "I don't believe it!" Small, light (this is certainly good), but in terms of tactility, there is no "visual professionalism" in them. Adequate to their cost and the type of result produced. Take, for example, 85mm f/1.2L or 50mm f/1.2L and in these huge lenses - "eyes", you want to drown from the quality of workmanship and visual perception. But it's all a matter of taste, I guess.
