I am a redhead with lots of clean white hair that fades with age. My eyebrows darkened as I hit puberty and over the years began to fade from bottom to top as I hit menopause and they also started thinning. I chose this shade because I thought it would go best with my current color. My urgent order for this flower set arrived this morning. I've never had a morning delivery, what a delight! I don't even mow the lawn without makeup on my eyebrows, even though they usually melt in the summer heat. This has become a critical issue for me as my preoperative instructions for tomorrow's outpatient surgery are "no makeup". vanity and such. There are a lot of great tips in the reviews I read before ordering, so I busied myself setting up the product components, read the instructions that came with it, and got to work. I also started with a pea sized tint and just 5 drops of oxidizer. Mixing everything wasn't that easy, but I was persistent. Since several reviewers said their brows got too dark, I only left it on for 3 minutes the first time. When I first tried it I used a clean mascara wand rather than the wand that came with it. My brows didn't get dark enough, so I applied a second layer and blended them in with a slightly pointed applicator brush. This time I used the recommended 10 drops of oxidizer and waited 5 minutes. After wiping with dry and "wet" tampons, it got darker than I wanted, but after using a facial tissue it got just right. My skin has never colored, only my hair. I expect that after a little practice and without having to know that I'll be out in public without makeup in the near future, I'll be able to perfect the process.
