Okay Boomer, why am I so late to the game to try this out? I recently tried pop-socket and it's such an update! It's thinner with rounded edges to better fit in your back pocket. I can press it against my finger to get a good grip on the phone, allowing me to reach all the buttons with one hand (granted, a pop-socket is better for this). But I'm embarrassed with excitement at his holding ability! I can put my phone on the counter at any angle! Just rotate the ring towards the phone, slide in and adjust - it holds the same from almost 90 degrees to a slight tilt. I answered the questions for myself: I glued it right in the middle of the case, I like the position. Yes, it really sticks to the cheap hard plastic case. It sticks surprisingly well to my magnetic mount in the car and I can rotate it however I want. I've had it for a few weeks and it's been wearing quite well, but it's no big deal, the color of the metal is similar under the finish. Addendum 7 months later: The ring is gradually losing tension but was too stiff to begin with. , at 3 months everything was perfect. At 4-5 months he can no longer hold small angles, the straighter the better. Now at 7 months I am still happy.
