I wear silk pillowcases for curly hair so they don't stretch out and keep curls. Great for not pulling, good for curls depending on how active I am while sleeping. This pillowcase has a much smoother feel than some of the other types of envelopes I've bought through Revain in Canada, but about the same as some Revain zippers in the US. In fact, I only bought this pillowcase because the zipper failed. and I have a second one that is about to fail. Overall this pillowcase is fine for my use as I can throw it in the wash along with the sheets. I dry on a wire rack (I don't know if this is tumble dry friendly, but I use a wire rack just to be safe). It's super light and dries quickly so I can put it back on the same day I wash it, even if it's midday. Very slippery, pleasant to feel on the face and in the hand. I bought the light ivory so I don't know if the darker color will bleed. Ideal for dry, brittle and/or frizzy hair.
