Review on 🖥️ IOTXY Solid Wood Writing Desk: A Stylish and Functional Home Office Workbench Desk with Drawer by Heather Ward

I really like what it is, a cheap mid-century modern walnut table that costs a little less than other similar ones! It looks like a four hundred dollar table, but it's not. It's worth coming closer and collecting or sitting down for it, you can see flaws here and there, but you won't complain for a hundred. I was furious with the CA warning on the item saying it contains formaldehyde and is carcinogenic! It's made from cheap materials from China, so I guess you get what you pay for. I'll probably switch to a solid wood table later, but it suits my music production and writing/study as a simple, beautiful living room desktop. It had a few blemishes on either side of the drawer but only an unfinished rough edge that was barely noticeable and a small muddy spot on one leg which I assumed was sawdust but not with a warm damp cloth, so I stopped fiddling with it as it's probably wood finish or paint. It wobbled a lot so I put an extra pad on one foot over the one that came with it and that fixed the gap. Also the top is waxed but it seems to scratch easily so I try not to do that as I don't want the formaldehyde to wash out faster. Lol I'm a little dissatisfied with it overall but I'm also very happy that it's cute and functional so I'm torn. I think I was expecting just a solid wood top but it looks like only solid wood legs and the top is probably a faceted chipboard. I thought the walnut would be darker than these but overall it's what I expected for only a hundred bucks. Just know that you don't want to use this forever, just a nice little decorative piece for a temporary fix. I would definitely spend more for a better quality table if that is your style as it is a copy of real Scandinavian style wooden tables which I was familiar with but was hoping for more. Too good to be true I guess. It's not bad, it's just a bit dangerous to have chemicals in your home right where you work. I could put a glass lid on the surface to seal in any chemicals and keep them off my body while I work at my desk. Buyers be warned.
