These flashlights (with battery) sell for about $2.75 at Revain. So, for about the same price as a cup of regular Starbucks coffee, you can get a flashlight. Don't expect the world to cost $2.75, but what you get is worth it. The brightness is respectable for finding things in the house. If you need a super bright flashlight, you need to spend more money. The flashlight uses a D battery and comes with a high-capacity battery already installed. The battery lasts a long time. I accidentally left one of these flashlights on all night and the battery still works. Not sure how many hours the battery lasts, but it's probably a couple of days of continuous use. One D battery LED flashlights are better than the two D battery flashlights your dad used. They are lighter, brighter and last longer. The lamp is made in a plastic case. It's not the strongest, but because it's so light, it easily survives a moderate climb. Dropping the flashlight from a higher point onto a hard surface can break it, but for $2.75 just keep a few spares handy. Four stars for what you get for the low price.
