My daughter loves turning her bunk bed into a den. We also like to read in her bed. ugly and/or boring. This guy is very cute, but at the same time not too expressive. Just a minimalist design. It's easy to charge and seems to hold a charge for quite a while. The light itself is great - we prefer warm, but it gets bright enough for reading and cool enough without other light sources. It's even better than just a fun light source for crazy kids activities with forts etc. From a clamping point of view it can't catch anything at all, it has to be like a table edge to be 100% solid. . However, it's easy to trick - by attaching it to bars on the underside of the top bunk, for example, or even to the posts of your bed, for example. Just not quite universal and one clamp fits all. It seems the rubber sticky pads can also come loose if you abuse the thing too much. As mentioned, we don't just use it for reading, tables and beds, so a slight misalignment of the pads can affect it. There's nothing the e6000 can't fix. So yes, the function of the form is fun for the kids too.
