I installed my speaker at 50 pounds, which is within the advertised bracket weight range. But it just wasn't strong enough to comfort me, especially when hung over people. Unlike other mounts I've used in the past, this one isn't a single piece that screws to the wall. Rather, it's a vertical column that screws into the wall, and the mount itself attaches to that vertical mount with a thin piece of metal.
