I bought this to do a compression test on my 1995 E300 diesel engine, this kit fits for OM606. I can't verify the accuracy of the gauge but I had 3 cylinders at 400psi and 3 cylinders at around 350psi. Unfortunately just outside the specification. My car has a blown gasket or a deformed head. I digress, although it was a chore, the compression tester worked correctly and is probably accurate enough to diagnose pressure fluctuations and determine the condition of the engine, or at least point you in the right direction. I was able to hastily screw a leak detector onto the compression tester port and find that I was losing crankcase pressure, either due to the rings (unlikely with that much compression on 3 cylinders) or a warped head/head gasket issue (more likely because the software picked up the defective one). heatsink and the heatsink cap not noticed). All in all, I'll probably use this again as a diagnostic tool on other diesels. It worked perfectly for my purpose and is suitable for many other uses.
