So far I'm very happy with these poufs! I filled mine with household items - and I have to say I prefer one filled with mostly old towels and a blanket over one filled with old pillows. I'm glad I didn't buy a fountain pen from a craft store! There is definitely color variation, but after reading other reviews I was expecting this. The ones I received only had one panel which was very dark so I am very happy with them. I also find that small blemishes make them even more charming. As others have noted, there is a noticeable smell, but to me it smells more like leather than anything too bothersome. The picture shows two stools - they are differently stuffed with towels/thread and stuffed cushions hence the obvious difference in size. Also a 12 lb cat for reference.
