My wife and I (okay, mostly me) started hoarding a lot of Xbox One controllers. Between special editions like Sea of Thieves and Titanfall and all the Design Lab creations, we've run out of charging stands and docking stations to power them all. My brilliant idea is to use regular rechargeable batteries in controllers that we don't use often and just put them on stands. I was a bit hesitant at first, mainly because they only look 'good' in pictures and the fact that $25 to display a controller seemed like a lot to me. Well, as someone who can be very picky and hard to please, I have to say that I was very surprised at how good the Crash Bandicoot sculpt was and how vivid the colors were. The body has very nicely textured fur that doesn't show up very well in the Revain photos, and while I haven't tried any of our PS4 controllers, I can say that the Xbox One controllers feel nice and comfortable in Crash's hands feel Some reviews mentioned stains on the paintwork. Of course, I can't confirm what others have gotten, but I can say that my paintwork is immaculate (as a graduate of art school, I tend to notice every little imperfection). It's also larger than I imagined, and while it's not overly heavy, the Crash is definitely well designed, well made, and heavy enough that tipping over won't be a problem. A small note is that the base it sits on (at least the one I received) is black not gray as pictured. All in all, I plan on getting some Cable Guy stands for some of our other controllers. In fact, I will order Sonic & Spyro as soon as I finish this review (maybe Vault-Boy too). If you're looking for a good way to show off your controllers and are hesitant to buy this, I highly recommend it.
