Great light (but has issues) and great customer service from Pixel!

I recently bought this Pixel 80 watt C100 bulb along with two other branded bulbs in the same price range. After testing the light I sent the other two back and kept the Pixel because the color rendering was better (note this later). Two other light sources gave a blue tint. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before I ran into the same button/screw issue that others were having. It eventually got to the point where I couldn't pull the light out anymore, so it was practically useless at the time. Realizing it was just a paperweight, I contacted Pixel. They replied to me within an hour or two (Hong Kong morning) and went out of their way to help me resolve the issue. After sending them some photos, they were happy enough to just send me a replacement flashlight! I really didn't expect this level of support from a company that caters to people on a budget, but I was pleasantly surprised. I currently have 4 Pixel lamps and am very happy with the quality for the price. A few more things to note: The Bowens mount doesn't feel as secure as I would like, although I haven't had any glitches with it yet. I've used an Aputure mini dome and a Wellmaking heavy conical lens with no problems. So far the color reproduction has been great but after getting my last pixel light I found it bluer than the others. So it looks like there might be some color consistency issues to be aware of. Maybe mine was just unique because the other 3 are pretty much the same. This is a great light from a great company that really listens and stands behind their product. And while they have a few flaws that need ironing out, I believe they will work on those issues if we're open about them. I will continue to work with Pixel Lights in the hope that their products will continue to improve.
