Review on πŸ’Ύ Reliable Storage Solution: Transcend 2 GB SD Flash Memory Card for Enhanced Data Management (TS2GSDC) by Brian Garrett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for older devices, ideal for C-PAP devices

As mentioned, they are great for devices that cannot format or handle the storage capacity of more modern SD cards (SDHC + SDXC). The most important thing for me is that they work with Remstar PR System One C-Pap machines. From what I've read they use the same technology as most other C-PAP machines. So if you have a different model, you can buy them with a high level of confidence. Remember: In this scenario, the transfer speed doesn't matter because the SD card speed is limited by the old SD controller. If your device comes with standard SD cards, there's a good chance you're limited to 2GB. and need to buy these devices "Standard SD". However, in some cases you can do a firmware update to allow SDHC card acceptance, which you might want to consider if this is for in-camera use or something that would benefit from higher capabilities. Don't use the per GB price comparison: some have complained about the price, noting that the newer Sandisk SDHC 32GB model is currently $13, for example. So why pay $10 for 2GB? Seems unbalanced, right? Not right. These reviewers don't get it. The older SD technology isn't really in production and there's a small market for it (actually just compatibility with older devices), so we're not comparing apples to apples here. See what the new blank VHS tapes have to offer. I shouldn't compare that to the price of blank DVDs. Sony 6T120VR 120 Minute VHS 6 Pack (Discontinued) Comparing apples to apples, this Transcend 2GB is currently priced at $9.99 with easy shipping. This is the best deal on Amazon at around $5 for standard SD cards right now. A device that you think you'll be using for some time might be a good idea to stock up on. The bottom line is that this part is about as good as it gets for an older device. You can check your product manufacturer's website for updated firmware, but if you're not tech-savvy and want a headache-free solution, just pull the trigger.
