As many have noticed, the instructions are sparse and not that easy to understand. The key things to know are the black plastic interlocking shelf supports that attach to the posts underneath the shelves and you MUST knock the shelves in so none of the supports are visible. They make the stand strong. As another reviewer said, you need a rubber mallet or something to do this. It's difficult to get all the supports in the right place on the posts as they don't snap tightly and tend to slide down a bit when reassembling. As a result, I got one wheel higher than the others, making it less stable but workable. I didn't want to take it all apart again so I'll leave it as is. It is possible to make the top shelf lower than the instructions, which I did for more stability, and if I put it as high as in the picture, it would be too high for me to use easily. I made it 4-5 inches lower. The wheels are very good, well made and roll smoothly. The stands are well made and very durable. The shelves are thinner because they're meant to be, and they're ok. There are 4 o-rings included in the kit which are not mentioned in the instructions as others have said. Since the only pole they fit on is the hanging pole, I'm assuming they attach to the ends of the pole, but I haven't used them. You do not need. START assembling from the bottom: Screw the wheels into the bottom bars and thread the bars through the bottom frame. If I had to do it all over again I would first measure and mark with a marker how high to place the shelf supports, then hammer the shelf firmly into them and then assemble the rest of the shelf. I would give this shelf 5 stars if it had better instructions. When all the shelves are fitted correctly and all the shelves are firmly in place this is a very solid, well made, durable coat rack and is excellent value for money.
