This product definitely works because it darkens your lashes, but as others have said it LIVES when it gets in your eyes, which of course is almost inevitable. When it hit my eye (I drew one eye at a time) the tears were stained with blood, which bothered me, but I went ahead anyway, thinking that if it went blind, I would lose sight in just one eye! For your peace of mind, I am not blind and have no side effects, although I ignore bloody tears. I seem to get better with every try. I applied the first eye twice and then just left the first step longer on the second lashes to make them darker. I used a cotton swab for the first step and for the second step I ordered these applicators (400 disposable makeup and body care micro-applicators (head diameter: 2.0 mm) - 4 x 100 pieces). It is much more convenient for them to apply the gel than the comb that comes with the kit. Overall I'm satisfied and will probably continue to use it, but I think next time I'll try to find a helper to create the app for me! After all, nobody said beauty was easy, right!?
