I've been looking for a long time for a toothpaste that is SLS free, contains fluoride and doesn't taste like spearmint or spearmint. finally found this. SLS in toothpaste is used for purely psychological reasons because it leads people to believe that toothpaste cleans better because of its foam, but actually has no effect on the quality of the toothpaste and apparently can cause mouth ulcers. Fluoride is of course necessary to prevent tooth decay and it's hard to find toothpaste without mint or mint with fluoride. especially with SLS as it becomes very foamy and intensely minty all over the mouth. I still get fresh breath with it, but I don't choke on the mint foam every time I brush my teeth, which is nice.
