My Subaru Forester requires me to plug in my phone and use GPS to navigate. My phone doesn't have enough room to fit securely in the small compartment. I tried many devices before I found this one. I attached it to the top inside of the USB and charging bay. There is no other flat spot nearby to safely hold the phone out of the way. Fortunately, this device helped. I can connect my phone and quickly attach the back of the phone to the magnet. Since I don't need a phone to view it, I don't mind if gravity slowly pulls it to the bottom of the compartment. The phone stops moving when stopped and rotated. Such a relief. The dual rotation option was just what I needed, especially since I didn't want to run a long cable and attach the mount to the dash. Since my interior is black with red accents, I went for an all-black model. However, as a magnet, neon rings are easier to find in darker environments. I wanted to show a photo with a phone connected. Fits into the landscape just in front of the coupe on the back of the shift. No impairment when driving.
