I bought this for our granddaughter to use for potty training and bedtime. Above all. When they say "quality wood" they mean plain plywood. In my opinion, you shouldn't expect solid wood at this price, I can live with that. The item we received had some defects. There was some wood glue on one side panel as if they were trying to mend a crack in the wood. There is no need to have glue on the stool as everything is screwed. Another piece of wood had a split along the edge, but I was able to locate the damage on the invisible/unused side. I think that after a few uses the edges will probably start to crack/splinter as the child climbs onto the stool with their shoes on. I'm a little nervous about her climbing in here barefoot, but I'll check back often. The stool we received did not have non-slip mats as advertised. After assembly, I laid the tiled floor in the bathroom. The chair trembled. The best part? The user manual says in red that the warranty is 3 years, and if "you have any questions, you can always contact us and get friendly customer service." Sounds good, right? Well, there is no contact number. I plan to fix my problems with visiting the hardware store, but I would not recommend this stool to anyone for any purpose. In fact, I told my daughter not to buy this stool.
