I am changing my previous review which unfairly blamed the bulb for my lava lamp problems. The lamp fits the lamp (model 14") and gives off a lot of light and heat. However, after replacing the bulb, I found that the lava was just sitting on the bottom of the bulb. I moved the lamp from the bookshelf to the shelf set the table, and lo and behold, the lava started moving again.I'm pretty sure the ventilation was the problem: the shelf was high and closed on four sides, so the top of the lamp probably wasn't cool enough relatively down to achieve desired effect. sorry for blaming the bulbs. I feel really stupid now. In fact, I can say I'm still on the first bulb of the 3 pack and they've been around for about 5 constant on is months now Those are good onions!
