Bought the vest to wear over my black leather jacket for added visibility when riding my bike, especially at night. It wasn't bought for warmth or thickness, but it's a bit heavy for really hot weather (>30F) when riding over a leather jacket, although it's surprisingly comfortable over a vented leather jacket in temperatures of 70-80F . Should be fine for cool weather. Easily adjustable elasticated side lacing ensures a snug and comfortable fit, and the vest stays in place even at high speeds.
