I bought two of these cute pink cameras, one for my granddaughter (4 years old) and one for my great granddaughter (3 years old). Both girls loved their cameras and in a few minutes they already knew how to take selfies. I look forward to seeing what their photos look like, to see their view of the world. Loved that this camera had enough charge for out of the box use, loved the strap (albeit a little long) and the girls loved putting their own stickers on it. They felt so grown up and the 4 year old did a great job centering her objects on the screen. The silicone on the outside seems like a good layer of protection to prevent damage to the camera. I really think it would be too small for a 7 or 8 year old, seems more suitable for 3-6 year olds.
