Very smooth and creamy lather even just holding the puck and skipping the brush. Provides a close shave with almost no cuts for men with very sensitive skin and lots of ingrown hairs that typically require a 3-pass shave. Very little touch up is required between WTG, ATG and XTG shots. With this soap, the skin does not dry out excessively when shaving or after drying with a towel. Equally good results with a Mach 3 cartridge or a moderately aggressive DE blade in a butterfly closed comb. The convenience of a safety razor was a pleasant surprise as the whole "wet shaving" ritual is new to me and my technique requires a lot of work. The only downside is that those little suction cups melt pretty quickly, so buy more washers than you would with regular soap. I will definitely stock up!
