I prefer training collars to bark collars

I have two dogs, so I will describe the experience with both dogs separately. One dog has a longer coat and weighs about 20 pounds, and this bark collar only worked intermittently. Either I should have worn the collar too tight for my own comfort, or our dog had learned to chirp instead of bark and the collar wouldn't work. Yes, I said chirp because I don't know what else to call it, but she learned to regulate her barking so that the collar didn't work. We have since switched to a training collar as she only responds well to the beep and the collar does not need to be overtightened. The second dog has a short coat and weighs about 80 pounds. This collar worked well with the shorter coat, but she is not a very vocal dog and generally only made noise early in the morning. I only really used this collar because I got one from my first dog, but I ended up switching with this one to a training collar that has done wonders for everything from digging to jumping. Conclusion: If you don't have a long-haired dog and just need to control the barking, then this product is probably for you. I personally like the ability to have more control over the correction the dog gets with the remote control and also having something rechargeable. I will never go back to a pure bark collar again, but it really depends on your preference.

Pros
  • Collars, harnesses and leashes
Cons
