I bought these in a big box thinking I would break them. I haven't had a single break yet. I've been using the same cable in my car since I've had them (must have been over 6 months). My cable runs between the phone in the cup holder and the auxiliary input in the center console. The cable is stuck in the center console several times a day and still hasn't stopped. I have given other cables and none had any problems.
