I bought this for my 27" iMac which came with a VESA mount. It holds up well and it's now easy to put the computer away when I clean up the space under the computer. The problem is that I have a pile of papers, flash drives and junk under my computer that accumulates over time. I was tired of looking for paperwork with my computer on the go, so I bought a VESA iMac along with this articulating monitor arm and voila! just push the computer aside so I can clean underneath. It also allows me to elevate the computer if I sometimes want to stand while using it. The hand is solidly built and looks better than other black/blocky hands. I like a pole to further adjust the height if needed. I would have preferred to give it 4.5 stars (instead of 5), but that wasn't possible. The reason is that the instructions with the photos (which had no written descriptions) were a bit difficult to understand. I finally figured out how to adjust the arm tension (to support a heavier iMac), I had to turn the adjustment screw COUNTER-CLOCKWISE. This was designed in the USA, so I expected written instructions in English, not pictograms to guess with.
