I actually did NOT order this mat for underneath my computer, but for the top of an expensive vanity that I bought for my twin girls. They were beginning to really dirty up the top of the vanity, and I was very fearful that scuffs and stains were soon on the way. This has helped quite a bit.It’s a little bit slippery. I mean, it doesn’t like ‘stick’ to the surface beneath you. I mean, not like a bath mat with suction cups, but as well as it could for just being placed on top of a piece of furniture. It gets the job done. It protects, and yup. spills can certainly damage certain surfaces. At least I don’t have much worry now about makeup getting on the wood, among other things. My girls are just messy as they come- so for us, it’s worth it to have.It’s kind of like an extended (longer), fairly thin placemat that you use on the table to eat at dinner time. Might it be a tad over-priced? Maybe by a few dollars, but when I think about the price of this mat vs. replacing their vanity, or a desk, or a computer for some, etc.? It makes the value of it, even better!I wish it came in fun prints, but regardless, it does the job that is claims to do, and for me, I give it a solid, 4 star review.
